DAUGHTERS OF A LOVING GOD

 

Over the last couple of years, The Ark Angel has joined with friends from The Coast Family Church and Bude Methodist Church to host a day of worship and study for all ladies in the local area.  We have just held our second Day which was well attended and a tremendous encouragement for all who went.

 

Having been greeted with coffee and chocolate biscuits, we had a morning session followed by a delicious lunch - including desserts!  Another uplifting session was followed by a cream tea before reluctantly driving home.  Needless to say, the Ark Angel provided a bookstall and many folk took advantage of the opportunity to take home some worthwhile reading or a memento of the day.

 

The times the worship were led by Lorna Cox and Sarah Riviere, and helped everyone to relax in God’s presence ready to listen to Clare Cleave tell us about two women in the Bible who made a difference - Rahab and Deborah.

 

Clare showed us how it often takes times of difficulty and hardship for us to fall back on God instead of living in our own strength.  However, as a nation and individually we are facing really tough times, so NOW is the time to seek God for his purpose for each of us.  He is looking for women who will step out of their comfort zone and not just hear about God’s power but be prepared to deliver it on our streets and amongst our friends.

 

Evil is flourishing in our land and it is time for the people of God to stand and fight back.  We cannot call others to God’s service without being prepared to stand with them.  Clare urged us to use what we have, what is familiar to us, for God’s Kingdom and glory.
