God honours prayer...
Following concerns about our finances and future mission the Trustees and Staff held a Prayer Meeting in January 2009. Those who care for and support Ark Angel were asked to join us for a time of reflection, looking forward and listening for the Word of God.
We are delighted to report that the meeting was well attended and through prayer we were able to discover more of God’s plan for us; and hear suggestions from folk on how we could support and develop our mission.
As a direct response to the prayer meeting several of God’s people felt led to make a regular financial commitment on a monthly basis to the work at Ark Angel. We are also happy to report that the prayer meeting was not just concerned with finance but led people to share ideas and visionary ways they felt we could improve our service and support the local Christians in and around Bude.
We also acknowledged that other local Christian Bookshops up and down the country had not found it possible to survive the current economic situation and we held them up in prayer, seeking guidance on how we could help others.
We depend on God to lead us. Please continue to pray privately or within your House Group for our work here in Bude, that we may continue to be witness to the local population and to the many visitors we welcome each year.
